Change Log:
--------------------
v1.4.0
Added new character-specific options to select the sound effect to be played when achieving MEGA DAMAGE or MEGA HEALING. Separate options have been added for damage and healing, allowing different sounds to be played for each.
26 total sounds defined, with individual repeat delays (Arcanite Ripper is default)
Significantly improved the configuration UI.
The configuration frame can now only be moved by dragging the title box.
Fixed a bug preventing the display frame from saving custom positioning.
Added an option to restore settings (global + current character's) to their defaults.
v1.3.0
Added localization support via AceLocale 3.0 library.
Global option added for changing the overall opacity of the background texture.
Added per-character lifetime total statistics for both Mega Damage and Mega Healing, with an additional global option for only counting damage/healing above the defined thresholds.
Slightly redesigned the layout of the configuration frame.
Fixed a lua error that occured when resetting the main display's position while it is locked.
Added an option to display the correct quantity prefix (kilo) for numbers under 1 million ("KILO DAMAGE"/"KILO HEALING"). When enabled, lifetime totals will also be displayed at 1/1000th their normal value.
v1.2.1
Emergency fix for the mega damage display being movable when locked.
v1.2.0
Added damage and healing threshold options to the configuration window. These options allow the user to set the minimum amount of damage or healing required to trigger the display. These options are on a per-character basis, and still default to 30k each.
The frame can now be repositioned on the screen by unlocking the frame's position via the configuration window. An additional option for resetting the frame to its default position has also been added...
Description:
--------------------
Inspired by Blizzard's blog post yesterday about the "great item squish", this addon brings to life the proposed "Mega Damage" system (or attempts to, at least).
What exactly does it do?
When a spell/ability deals enough damage healing in one hit, the MEGA DAMAGE display will flash on the screen, accompanied by the Arcanite Ripper sound.
The amount of damage/healing done by the spell is converted into "mega damage"/"mega healing" (at 1/1000th of the original value), which is then what is displayed on the screen.
Configuration/Commands:
Type /mdmg to open the configuration window.
Available options include (but are not limited to):
Toggling and changing sound effects
Frame scaling, opacity and repositioning
Damage thresholds
